The ethos of Wednesday Night Tutoring seeks to assist the student with imperative life skills such as attitude, behaviour, respect, manners and commitment, which are supposedly meant to equip those students for 'life in Australia'.
This is done primarily on the Wednesday Night, however we don't want to be just teachers. And so, every so often, we take the kids out on an excursion - to the movies, to have a barbeque, play a game of tennis, and a number of other activities. Everyone tends to have a lot of fun!
Also, we tutors meet every Wednesday Night, and after a few years we've come to the realisation that we all quite like each other. And so we also sometimes go out ourselves without the kids, just to have fun. We've built up a number of strong friendships through being a part of WNT, and the Tutor excursions help us get to know each other better.
